Step 01 – Release the past

The Caterpillar stage

At the Caterpillar stage, you’re living a life that is much smaller than what’s possible for you. Your past is holding you back, so you can’t get off the ground and fly like you’re meant to.

You keep trying to change things, but you’re out of alignment with what you want, so your actions feel much harder and take longer than they need to.

You keep exhausting yourself trying to make things work with the wrong people. This is because you have a case of mistaken identity…you’re not a caterpillar, you’re a butterfly! You were meant to live a bigger life—an extraordinary life—and experience healthy and lasting love.

To create a healthy, happy love relationship, you must first refocus your time and energy on YOU. This is not the time for dating; it’s the time for healing, nurturing yourself, and rebuilding your relationship with you. If you don’t do this inner work first, you’ll tend to keep repeating your patterns. It would be best to take time away from dating to heal your heart, develop greater self-confidence, create a well-balanced and joyful life, and transform your beliefs and identity into the beautiful butterfly you really are!

Step 02 – Create a life you love
The Chrysalis stage

You may feel like your life has fallen apart. What you used to rely on as stable and secure in your life is gone. (This is the “mushy mess” phase of transformation, where all the cells of the caterpillar break down to create something new.)

It feels like there is a giant vacuum…and you may be experiencing anxiety, feeling an urge to fill that void with another person.

But this is not the time for dating…it’s time to refocus your energy on YOU!

You may have had success in some areas of your life, but you know more is possible…it’s time to uplevel.

You were meant to live a bigger life—an extraordinary life—and experience healthy and lasting love!

Tips and strategies for the Metamorphosis stage:

It’s time to stop hiding and emerge from your cocoon. To create a healthy, happy love relationship, you must change who you think you are and what you believe your value is so that you raise your standards and keep them there.

Before dating, you must leave the security of who you once were and once knew behind, transform your beliefs and identity, and become the confident butterfly you really are so you can attract the amazing partner you really desire (another butterfly, not another caterpillar)!

Step 04 – Develop empowering beliefs
The Beautiful Butterfly stage

You’re feeling stronger and happier as a single woman. But you still doubt you can have what you want.

You want love, but you fear getting hurt or stuck in the wrong relationship again.

You have unresolved trust issues and are hiding to protect your heart, which is preventing the right people from being able to find you.

Step 05 – Choose a great partner
The Finding A Mate stage

 You’re feeling stronger and happier as a single woman, and more confident and secure in yourself. But you still don’t know how to find the right partner for you.

Your big heart tends to attract wounded, less mature partners, and your over-giving nature causes you to choose people based on their potential (rather than where they’re at right now).

You feel wobbly as you take to the sky and need to strengthen your wings by developing new skills.

Tips and strategies for the Finding A Mate stage:

To create a healthy, happy love relationship, you must learn the differences between healthy and unhealthy romantic partnerships.

You must move through your fear of vulnerability and rejection, discover how to trust your judgment by learning how to make effective dating decisions, and develop the skill of empowered dating.

This will allow you to own your butterfly value, keep your standards high, be patient with the process and consciously choose the evolved butterfly mate who is the best fit for you!

Step 06 – Develop relationship skills
The Flying Together stage

You have chosen another butterfly to fly with. It’s exciting, but you’re still learning how to fly together, and sometimes find one might be ahead of the other. You’ve discovered each other’s idiosyncrasies and had your first conflict.

You both realize you’ve carried forward some bad habits from previous unhealthy relationships, as well as some trust issues and emotional triggers. You both need to grow and evolve to succeed in this relationship!

Tips and strategies for the Flying Together stage:

To create an epic love relationship, you must become conscious of any unhealthy habits, and learn new relationship skills (like communication, active listening, and conflict resolution). You must each discover what the other needs to feel loved and negotiate your way through any differences. Your success with these new skills will determine whether you continue to fly together or not!

Step 07 – Nurture the relationship
The Lasting Love stage

You’ve been flying with your partner for a while now and developed a comfort and rhythm together. You’ve learned how to resolve conflicts peacefully and how to ensure each partner’s needs are met.

You’ve ruled out other butterflies and made a commitment to be together long-term.

It may seem like you can relax now and just coast, but long-lasting relationships require regular nurturing to go the distance!

Tips and strategies for the Lasting Love stage:

To create an epic love relationship, you must continue to invest time and energy into the healthy habits you created in earlier stages (like communication, appreciation, vulnerability and intimacy). You must allow each person to pursue their own goals and dreams, but also have a shared vision of the future you’re working towards. Mating for life requires continually choosing and prioritizing each other…not just once, but each and every day!
